i think newegg has it for $56 + shipping. at leasts thats where i ordered my beige one, i am not sure how much more the black is.
 
until another firmware comes out, I would put the 109 purchase on hold, or buy a 108 - has new 1.20 FW but still is poor on CDR

Not seing any large improvements with 1.50 here...

My review is ready - just being read by Pioneer & review team to make sure I've not done any errors.

To be honest it kicks ass for DVDR writing quality - but that is the only reason to get it, way to many drawbacks.
