PIONEER 16X/40X DVD-ROM Drive for $67!!

Comp-U-Plus has always (in my three-year experience with them)had extra-high shipping charges. Maybe they have their profit figured in there. But they do have some dandy hardware prices, and $67 for this Pioneer DVD drive is really excellent!
 
I have bought alot from these guys Comp-u-Plus, until they sent me a "RMA'd" Motherboard with a manual all fingerprinted and cables twisted loose in the box. They claimed that the board itself was new and they had no problem with that. I did. I had no time to go through the RMA crap, so I installed for a friend and deleted them. They should have crossed shipped me a new one at least. They have big-ass attitudes.

the site Afronaut mentioned above also ships the drive 2nd Day Air for the price of ground shipping... for cheaper than the site in the original post. I'd check that out first since the price is lower before shipping, too. good luck
 
Ya, that is awfully high for shipping. What ever happened to the pricewatch thingy where they would kick sellers off if they sold a stick of memory or cpu with $10-15 shipping charges? Seems like pricewatch couldn't do that cuz ALL their advertisers would be gone!

Anyways, if you find a good deal, get the SLOT loading one, not the tray. It's definately worth it, cuz it's just the cool factor and you don't have to deal with the tray. Pop in, pop out! 🙂
 
These DVD drives are get cheaper like the ram. I just bought the Toshiba 16x DVD and it comes to $71.xx shipped from Newegg.

Both Pioneer and Toshiba are very reliable drives.
