Pioneer 106S DVD-ROM disappearing act

DVD-Rom disappearing act. My DVD-ROM WAS in device manager on my windows XP pro. Then...I installed a Lite-On CD-RW as the master and DVD-ROM as the slave. After that...my DVD-ROM is no longer visible, available. The CD-RW has taken it's place.

The jumpers on the DVD-ROM came set on reserve. During the new installations I set it to slave. Maybe I should have left them on reserve? I checked my BIOS and the Pioneer is not there. This is an OEM 106S, and I can't find any manuals anywhere. So I may have set it up wrong.

Thanks for your help.

I have my Pioneer 106S set as the master and CD-RW set as slave (per the Teac/Cendyne manual) on EIDE 2.

Exactly where are the slave jumpers on the Pioneer 106S. It isn't identified on the drive. And of course being an OEM there is no manual.

In fine print on the drive label I noticed where the slave jumper was located. Well, I've learned to always read the fine print. Everything is working as it should be on XPpro. Thank you for your help.
