Pinnacle vs SVS

I'm not familiar with the Pinnacle but like you I was looking into SVS subs and others in the $500ish range. I ended up with the Rythmik LV12R and it's amazing. Check this out...

Conclusion
To quote the oft repeated line from the famous (infamous?) ring announcer Michael Buffer; are you ready to rummmmble?. You had better be if you buy the Rythmik LV12R, because it certainly is. This subwoofer combines power, depth and poise in equal parts. It's on the large side, and a bit generic in appearance, but for sound quality it's the yardstick to use when measuring any subwoofer costing less than $600. The Rythmik LV12R is nothing short of amazing, and well worth the asking price.

I would like to see a "roundup" to find out which is best. There really doesn't seem to be something like this.

I like SVS because it's a bit more well known, but both seem to be about in the same class with SVS having a better warranty.

My HSU amp died from busted caps and something else. I tried to fix it but couldn't get it there. HSU sucks.

i have a pb-1000 and I love it. has to deal with an open floor plan, 4000+ cubic feet, but still sounds and feels great. i want to add another.

Legend, you can't go wrong with either an SVS or Rythmik sub. They both make one hell of a sub, but I'd say the Rythmik is a fantastic bang fo your buck. Here is a good numbers comparison between some of the top subs out there. Not exactly the sub you are looking at, but may give you an idea of how Rythmik subs perform.

I used pinnacle speakers and sub years ago and loved them. They were the only one that had a dual (stereo) non-amped (passive) subwoofer. I needed that because my old receiver was dolby prologic 2. Still have it and even tho everything is digital and amped now it holds a special place in my heart.
