I'm not here for your entertainment
You don't really wanna mess with me tonight
Just stop and take a second
I was fine before you walked into my life
Cause you know it's over
Before it began
Keep your drink, just gimme the money
It's just you and your hand tonight

Midnight
I'm drunk
I don't give a f***
Wanna dance
By myself
Guess you're outta luck
Don't touch
Back up
I'm not the one
by-bye
Listen up, it's just not happening
You can say what you want to your boyfriends
Just let me have my fun tonight-aight

In the corner with your boys you bet up five bucks
To get at the girl that just walked in but she thinks you suck
We didn't get all dressed up just for you to see
So quit spilling your drinks on me yeah
You know who you are
High five and talkin' ******, but you're going home alone arentcha?

Man, what a bitch! I'm gonna dress up all sexy and act all seductive (like she does in the video), but god forbid some guy notice me and buy mea drink. "Forget the drink just give me the money?" Yeah right. I hate how girls tout this as some sort of "girl power" song. It's just an anthem for self-entitled attention whores.

What was that other song she did? "I'm so tired of being compared to Britney Spears, she's so pretty, that just ain't me." Are you kidding? You are EXACTLY Britney Spears. Same sex-driven marketing, same crappy singing, same virutal complete lack of your own compositions appearing on your records.

And yes, I just took the time to write a rant about "Pink." This is what happens when JohnJohn gets off of work early.
nope, no punches to the face. i love her. She's Janis Joplin-esque, and she's singing what is sellin'.

Wow...that's a bold comparison that I can't come remotely close to seeing or agreeing with. And I really don't have anything against Pink.

So a women writes a song about not needing a man tonight and guys here respond by wanting to punch her out or hit her with a bat? You all need to reflect on your own anger.

"Women" is plural. "Woman" is singular.

let's put it this way. if she got in a Joplin get up and sang any one of her (Joplin's) songs she could pull it off quite easily.
Others seem to agree with me.
As a footnote to that I've read that Zooey Deschanel is going to play the part. Pink dropped out saying it would be disrespectful to Joplin because the film makers didn't want to say she died of a heroin overdose.

Pink singing, "Bobby McGee"

Joplin was a hard drinking blue's singer and Pink lists her as one of her greatest influences. I definitely hear it and see it.

Get your eyes checked. My girlfriend of the last 2.5 years also isn't understanding where you drew this conclusion.

It also cracks me up how people are saying "she's her own person" and she's "Janis-esque." How the hell is she Janis-esque? And she' not her own person, she's the same marketing-driven pop singer as all the rest of them.

Well another topic many here have butchered.

I am sure any of the hotties that proclaim this song would take the drink from and leave with the guy if he brought the goods to the table.

Most of the time the guy would have a better chance if he had his personality on and something to talk about when he approached the chick.

Coming out with can I buy you a drink, or just sending one over or worst "what's your phone number?" as an introduction is about 90% always going to fail on anyone over low to mid 20's.

ummm.... i didn't say "she's her own person". i did say she reminded me of Joplin, and i explained why. if you can't hear it that's your problem.
