Looks like Roger might do "The Wall" tour in 2010-11.

I went to the In the Flesh and Dark Side of the Moon shows and they were both FANTASTIC!

Im crossing my fingers:D

Even though Roger is a dick hole. I would go see The Wall, I think he put his heart into it.

Hmm. Considering how amazing the live performances of the original wall were, I'd be interested to see how it could be topped. Will keep my eyes open for tickets.

Whenever I go to funerals I never look at the dead, prefer to remember them as they were living instead.

Water's productions have a different 'feel' than the original Pink Floyd. He's all about production and emphasizing the source material. The rest of the band minus Waters is more about individual performances. Both have their strengths.

IMHO - I could care less about any album the band made after Water's left because the band lost their edge when he bailed, and all their stuff sounds the same since then. Then again Water's solo works are much worse. :)

I agree that when Waters left, the soul of the band was changed.

It's sort of a catch-22 with Pink Floyd. Without Waters, Gilmour put out a bunch of music that while good doesn't stand out for the most part. There are a few gems post Waters though. Without Gilmour, Waters sounds like a karaoke machine.

Gilmour is a much more talented musician.. his solo efforts are all solid and as you can read on that site, Waters hasn't done jack shit but parade around the corpse of what was once a fantastic band. I detest Waters and his whiney self-indulgent bullshit (how many albums do we need to dedicate to your father?) but there's no denying that after his departure PF changed for the worse.

I would sell my soul for a time machine to go back to about 1973 and catch The Pink Floyd on the Dark Side of the Moon tour.

Roger Water IS Pink Floyd. They have sucked balls ever since he left. Gilmore couldn't write a song to save his ass.

Let me put this another way: Roger Waters has more talent in his skid-marks than David Gilmore could ever hope to have.

Subjective of course but I couldn't disagree more. What has Waters done since he left Pink Floyd besides milk that cash cow? *crickets*

Compare that to Gilmour now. Gilmour has penned some amazing songs and is 10x the musician Waters ever was or can ever hope to be. Check out the live DVD of any of Waters' stuff and laugh at how in the middle of a song he just lifts his hands up and starts clapping yet the song sounds exactly the same without his root note bass noodling.

Well, Syd Barrett won't be there either. :)

Syd was out of Floyd for over a decade before The Wall. And you can see the difference in musical styles between Gilmour and Barrett by the time they did "Echoes".

They are the Ying and Yang of the band imo. It is true the band lost some of their edge once Waters departed due to Waters lyrics. But without Gilmours music Waters songs suck.

For the record I dont think The Division Bell was a bad albumn at all. But Momentary Lapse of Reason was easily their worst albumn.

And David Gilmour's solo career has been pretty good. I'd pay to see David Gilmour, probably not Waters.

I suggest people who are Floyd fans pick up David Gilmours "Live in Gdansk" Album. You wont be disappointed. It sounds phenominal.

I would love to see Zep live again but i doubt it will ever happen :(

Few bands I need to see before I die and Led Zep is one of them. Another is a reunited GNR tour. I have already seen Pink Floyd minus Waters in 1994 and it is impossible now since Richard Wright passed a couple of years ago.

Add U2 to that list. Those damn companies managed to flood the website on the 21st of Nov for the show at TCF field on the U of Minnesota campus next Summer

lol bass noodling. Roger Waters should stick to writing. His singing tends to waffle somewhere between subpar and horrendous.

I dunno, Robert Plant's voice isn't what it used to be.

I know. I lived and breathed Floyd as a teenager. My point was that seeing Floyd without Gilmore would still be worth it since trying to define "the real Pink Floyd" isn't really possible.

Great news!!!!!

Next up: Led Zep reunion!

Not likely---Plant pretty much said he's too old to prance around and scream like a 25 year old in tight jeans anymore. Singers have it rough because their talent depends on a lot more functions of their body holding up than the musicians.

As for Waters---it'd be awesome if he went through with it, but he's a self centered moody psycho. I'm betting it will fall through.

Those must be talented skid marks, b/c I find your opinion to be extremely outrageous and over the top and not based on reality.

I'm not saying I prefer post Waters-Pink Floyd but like Platypus typed, I too think he's written some good stuff.

Pink Floyd was a lot like the Beatles. Their individual talents and tensions made for good music. If you split them apart, you remove the combination of flavors that made them great.

I like Rogers, but I did see Floyd without him and did not seem to miss his absence.

The Division Bell Tour.

Awesome show.

Although Rogers a few years back did some sort of acoustic\live thing and he pulled off "Mother" quite nicely.
