Pinging ATOT: FedEx Ground dropoff....

Stupid question, but on the FedEx site I search dropoff locations, and for many it lists only "Express."

Does this mean I cannot drop off a FedEx ground package? I have an RMA to dropoff with a prepaid label. I would've imagined that they take it to the center anyway and sort it and then figure it out.

I don't know for sure, but from reviewing their website...my guess would be yes given that they don't list ground drop off times...but again just a guess.

pretty sure express means all you can do is drop off a package

but maybe not. the full-service stores list ground as a service

Express, Ground, Package supplies available, Packing services, FedEx Return System Saturday service

not sure...

Last I checked, if it is marked "Express", you can only transact Express Service packages. Ground is a different service, with different routes and timelines.

Technically they will not take ground unless they say they will take ground. Though we seem to have had express pick up a ground package or two. lost one all together. Fedex swears an express driver will not pick up a ground package.

This is my experience with them picking up from the office.

Did that today with a Ground package. Here on campus we have a million drop boxes, but they're all marked "Express Only." I didn't want to take any chances, so I just hopped on the bus and rode to the nearest Fedex store (only like 2 miles away).

Chances are there's a retail location not far from those drop boxes, so...

yeah i can always go to fedex kinkos which is near my house, but the first 7 closest searches near work are express only... or at least they only list express.... kinda annoying.

Uncheck the "self-serve only" box at top of the screen and you should only get locations that do most if not all services.

Then just go to a Kinkos / copycenter then if its not far away. I do it all the time and the bonus is the local copy center is open 24/7 so I can drop it off anytime.

Yes, I've been known to do AT FS-FT package drops at 4am 😛
