Pinellas Co. Florida

Great weather (well, sans the occasional Hurricane, but those can be fun too), low cost of living, and the economy is relatively stable 🙂

I'm also considering moving to Tampa/St. Pete once I get my degree - gorgeous area 🙂

Haha...oh yeah, how stupid of me! 🙂 I have actually been there for a couple of weeks before and its not that bad to visit. I just would never want to live there.

Why wouldn't you want to move there? I'm more of wanting to move north type of person, but this job opportunity is good, so...
 
Yea - it sucks here..

No state income tax, low property taxes, no yearly vehicle tax (Except your tag, ~45.00/yr), no vehicle testing, (niether mechanical or emissions) low cost of living, some of Florida's most beautiful beaches, and an abundance of beautiful women..

Yah.. It sucks.

And Tampa is not ghetto.

Its not my style. Too hot, too flat, abundance of crazy/old people, higher crime, etc. I would just perfer not to live there.
 
yes, the flordian drivers will drive you crazy! I curse like a sailor everytime I drive to and from work, seriously they need to teach these FL people how to drive!

Tampa.. Far north - close to Lutz..


And they did some calculations - the odds of a hurricane making a direct hit on the Tampa St. Pete are astronimical - due to the jet stream/etc..

Heard I'm getitng an offer on my house today!

Or parts of Orlando. Had a door to door smack salesman one time at a hotel there.

Too bad he was overpriced 🙁 😉
 
I'm from the (new) Carrollwood area myself.

Pinellas County is a long narrow county, so make sure you live reasonably near your job since driving on US19 is really bad. Some of the newer apt complexes are very nice.
 
how can you go wrong moving near the location of the original Hooters??? (off Gulf to Bay just North of US19):beer:

used to live there about 20 years ago...fun to visit now (since my grandparents still live there), but I don't think I could do it...the senior citizen drivers would drive me crazy...

weather is awesome though...
