So I swallowed a pill like I usually do this morning, and it felt like it got wedged back there somehow. I thought it would dissolve by now, but it feels like it is still there. How can I get rid of it?

I swear this is the truth... but I had a friend of mine get a pill stuck in her esophagus some how. Eventually it disolved there and irritated the esophagus. She went to the doctor and he diagnosed her with... Pill-a-sohagitis! Really! LOL...

I would just eat some dry bread and then follow that up with some fizzy soda... maybe that will help!

are you sure it's still lodged there or did it scrape your throat and now it feels like it's still there?

Only on ATOT. Check in tomorrow for the followup thread: "Just used bathroom, what now?" summary: "There's a roll of paper here ... ??"

This is the most likely thing. I had the same thing you're describing happen to me and I could have sworn that the thing was stuck, but it wasn't. basically, if you can swallow anything else, it's not stuck there, it's just scraped (they feel the same according to my throat doctor)
