Those who have bought an AM3+ motherboard in advance, can be happy to know that Piledriver should work if the manufacturer releases a BIOS update to support the new processor.

Of course, they're quoting donanimhaber.

Saw on wiki that Piledriver cores will supposedly be what's used in Trinity. Take that with a huge grain of salt (or chilli pepper extract, if you're man enough)

AMD Disclaimer: Piledriver will be 10% faster after a increase of 10% in clockspeed vs. Bulldozer.

:sneaky:

donanimhaber has admitted to faking AMD benchmarks and release dates numerous times.

Google it.

BD might be a dog but that doesn't make his works of fiction any less of a joke.

lol or with 1 extra module ;b

We laugh, but the slide does NOT say '10% faster per clock'. It is a fair argument. The 10% on the slide references a single benchmark, it would be very unfortunate if that was just from tweaking the software for the CPU specifically for the increase.

i really wish amd would get bd out already. i wont have $ for it anytime soon but the suspense on its performance is just brutal.

At least AMD should be back in the race though. I'm not really expecting AMD to be able to leapfrog Intel. Intel has had so much more money for research for so much longer than AMD has.

That's not a rumor. Trinity is well known to be Piledriver + a VLIW4 GPU.

Pretty sure you have that confused with OBR.

donanimhaber has repeatedly recycled the intentionally fake benches from OBR but refused to credit him as their source, that was the sole purpose of OBR's fake benchmarking campaign.

To prove out that donanimhaber just publishes any BS they can find, and have no more ethics to tell the truth than they do to not plagarize it.

donanimhaber is worse than S/A and Fudz, it is the new low, from what OBR would have us believe. I don't know, but what I do know is that between donanimhaber and kitguru I feel the urge to take more showers and use more soap than ever before D:

The day that official BD benchmarks are out, will be glorious - even if it turns out to be a dog :awe:

The speculation is killing me.

Apparently not well enough known that I didn't know it, I'm pretty up to date :)

But, thanks for the correction.

well at least AMD fans always have something to look forward too. the rest of us will just buy whats available now and stop waiting on future products that are already behind before they are released. I am just glad Intel is still giving us the 1155 cpus for a fair price.
