They had to pave it due to a lawsuit from the Sierra Club, the dirt and sand from the old road was ruining the dirt and sand from the mountain. At 14,000+ I think it's the highest paved road in North America.

I looked up that 1300-1400 horsepower car in the first vid within the link. Stupid vehicle to be driving around there, truly.

Also going at limits in a race around a corner that has no fence and leads to falling down a cliff is similarly stupid. These clowns are lucky they aren't dead.

Roll-cage on that lancer sure worked, though.
