pigpony.com anyone ever heard of this place?

They were only recently added to the yahoo shopping directory and haven't been reviewed. However they have a lot of contact info, I would suggest calling several of those phone numbers and if different and professional people answer then they are either an elaborate hoax or an actual site: (their prices are suspiciously low)

I wonder if its cheap junk, or a scam, or just really cheap prices on noname mp3 players? I'm tempted to take one for the team and see how it turns out. I was just hoping someone had dealt with them before.

Looks like knock-off junk to me.

All or most of the product pictures are cheap renders and photochops, and they are intentionally deceiving in making them look like iPods and stuff... read the descriptions and you'll see that the specs don't really match the product.

One that looked like a white nano had built in stereo speakers, only a 1GB capacity, and wasn't too impressive. I doubt you'd be getting something that looked like the item pictured, otherwise they might actually list brands and model numbers.

They are probably a legitamite seller of knock-offs. A lot of people on Ebay know that they are buying fake products, but buy them anyway because of the look, or because they function well.

Ok, well after looking at their ebay feedback, I went ahead and ordered one. I'll let you guys know how it all goes. I don't care if its a knock off, as long as it works ok.

Don't forget to check specs before you assume it's the same as a similar looking product.

I'm actually interested to see how much the actual product varies from their rendered art.

DON'T trust ebay feedback on face value, latest scam is buying/selling ebooks for 1 cent to buy 500 or so positive feedback. Do a search for ebook and look at all the low lifes doing it.

I looked back through some of the feedback people are actually getting MP3 players. The few negatives seemed to stem from slow shipping issues.

The products look fake, and unsurprisingly they are not pictured. The images are digital art, not photos. Given that, and also considering the poor layout of the site, my guess is it's a scam. To anyone who ordered from them... I'm sorry. I hope I'm wrong, but I very much doubt it.

Broken Arrow- thanks for being the first to try this offer. The 2 GB mp4 player looks REALLY appealing. According to the site, looks like the stuff is shipped from HongKong. I have ordered from the ledshoppe several times and their stuff is shipped from HK without any difficulty. BUT, considering you have already ordered I guess I will wait and see how you fair. These items would make great Christmas presents. travelingfool

Did anyone try their contact info? Odds are that if this is a scam they won't have an operating 888 phone line.

Just cuz they sell cheap mp3 players from China doesn't mean that they're a scam, lol. Plenty of legit money to be made selling cheap mp3 players from China!
From what I recall reading about these players, they work fine but they might be somewhat quirky with file structure or file names or whatever.

And obviously they're not as thin as a nano. But then again they're also super cheap lol.

Hmm...I don't want any of these mp3 players but I'm tempted by their bluetooth headset prices...especially since even the newer headsets are pretty cheap.

Sometimes I'm jealous of my friends from HK because every time they go back they buy some crazy new products lol

Quick update: I got an email notice today that the product has shipped. No tracking information however. Just in case anyone is curious, this is the one I ordered LINK

Also on the 2nd page of their MP3/MP4 players there is a white iPOD knock off listed as 2GB for $32.95 but if you click it, it says its a 512MB player. This may just be a typo on thier part. LINK
The actual 2GB iPOD knock off is listed on the first page for $63.95 here LINK

I'll update you all later.
