It's funny that all the people that said this was "REAL" wood, all of a sudden vanished after I proved it was "REAL" Petrified wood. Heaven forbid if they came back and admitted they were wrong. I beilive Hell would freeze over at that point.

People should just keep thier mouth shut when they have no clue as to what they're talking about!
What is funny is that you seem to think that there was some sort of confrontation here, I never said it wasnt petrified wood, just that it didnt look like what I had seen before.

Here is my version, or should I say, what I found in my backyard a few years ago. Is this petrified, yes.

Woodie

I'd have that piece cut and or polished. Petrified wood colors vary greatly and your's might reveal decent colors.

Someday, I just might do that.

You should ebay it and use the money to upgrade to cable, nice wood BTW 🙂

I'd never sell it. I found it 17 years ago when I was 15. I know pieces like this sell for around $150.00 but that won't replace the memories of me metal detecting and gold panning back then when I stumbled upon it. It's too cool.

Me and my Wood :brokenheart:
