Now as most of us now, the Nissan Stagea is based on the Nissan Skyline (G35 over here). The previous version was available with a turbo I6 and AWD.

Anyway, these pics show the Nissan Stagea in the US, badged as a Infiniti G35x.
 
Ugh... maybe it'll grow on me, but from the looks of it, it really doesn't look like the G35 at all, and the overall design kind of sucks. I don't know, if I were to get that car, why wouldn't I just bump up to an FX35? It looks like it has more luggage room than the FX35, but if I were getting an Infiniti, I don't think luggage room would be the first thing on my mind.

Definitely a loser as of now... nasty looks.

Yeah, doesn't look enough like the G35. The lights are different.
 
Ewwww....me no likey. 🙁 I agree that the new lights look like the redesigned WRX and the wagon part looks like your normal boxy Volvo.

Not like I can afford it anyway 🙂
 
It looks functional, but it's too stationwagonish, and not wagonish enough. It at least needs a sloping rear so it looks more like a BMW and less like a Volvo.

Whats the difference between a wagon and a stationwagon? Aren't they the same?
 
The only wagons I think are honestly good looking are Audi's. Everything else ranges from plain yet functional to just plain ugly. The G35 wagon falls into the latter.
 
In the top pics, it looks nothing like a G35. The pics further down have the G35 headlights and more of the character lines of the G35. Those pics look marginally better.

Overall it looks OK, I guess. Definitely looks like a Volvo.
