Pictures of my new toy

I swear the posters are getting younger and younger.

I guess it wouldn't be nice say to "your barndoor is open" when someone is holding a large weapon.

Not being a gun nut myself, I'm curious as to what that gun is used for.

Edit: IE, hunting, shooting burglers, etc 😉

Its used for the simple purpose of putting a mile wide sh1t eating grin on my face 😀

theres something really wrong with young kids and guns...

Actually, there's something really RIGHT about it.

Much better they be exposed to it & trained in proper use/safety/etc. than to let them remain uninformed (as the majority of the population is).

Nice gun, one of these days I need to get myself one.

Now that the AWB is gone the fun options are all available again.

I'd grab them while you can. There hard to find, most online places have quite a waiting period.

As for guns and kids, my 8 year old daughter has had the opportunity to handle my firearms so much she doesnt even care about them anymore, they bore her. I asked her if she wanted a rifle for Christmas and she said no, she wanted a bow.
A bow she got. 🙂 But it was kinda funny, most kids would have wet themselves at the chance to own their OWN rifle, and my daughter was like "Meh, I can use yours"
Damned right she can, anytime she wants 🙂 (Provided I'm there of course)

That's awesome. Are you the one who ordered online and posted about it a while ago? This looks a lot like an M4A3 to the untrained (n00b) eye (read: I'm a gun n00b).

Sweet gun, and I agree about letting your kids have gun training. For one, it's teaching them responsibility, and for another, it's one more activity you can do together when they get older. I've only handled a real gun a couple times in my life, and when I say a couple I mean literally two times.

Sweet gun. What did she run ya?

Altogether $913 n change. It was $899, but they took $850 cash.

What was all included in that price?

Gun, 1 30rnd mag, sling and plastic case. The case aint much to write home about, but its a damned sight better then nothing.

I've heard bad things about BM's AR-15's - any opinions on that?

ar15.com

The general consensus is to go with ABC, Armalite, Bushmaster or Colt as their the top tier manufacturers. Rock River is definately coming out strong.
They've all had some minor issues as of late trying to meet the deman since the AWB. But the few incidents of problems I've heard about from any manufacturer have been resolved by the manufacturer so even if I do have a lemon in some way I'm not worried. But, I feel pretty confident in buying a BM.
