new is good 🙂 how much was that place? minus land costs...

It was $235,000 and the builder payed all the closing costs and points on the loan. We financed through them and got a 30-Yr Fixed at 5.875%

no basement, no fun. 🙁

plant a tree next to the river and have a rope attached to it. tarzan swings!

The neighborhood sits on top of a plateau so if you digg about 6 ft down you hit solid rock. A basement would've been extremely expensive, but I know that there will be little movement of the foundation.

Houses are made of Bricks. Not wood. You have a shack.

bricks? that cant handle an earthquake, concrete is what houses are made of. You both have shacks 😛

wow a house like that would be atleast 400K here. how close is your nearest neighbor?

On one side I don't have a neighbor and the other side is like 35ft away.

yet...enjoy that view while it lasts. looks like it will a development soon.

235k is probably more than it would cost around here. Of course this looks to be a custom home but if you wanted to buy a new home in a neighborhood where ever three houses are the same, one like this probably would be under $200k. Of coruse it may be cardboard too but so could this one.

DAMN!! That's a nice house you've got there! Congrats!!

Same thing would go around 350-400K here... Good for you!
JR..
