Picture too big for my TV (Radeon 9700 Pro)

I just swapped from my old "Geforce 3 Ti200" to a Radeon 9700 Pro and just tested the TV-out. It looks great, but the problem is that the picture the computer sends to the TV doesn't fit in the TV display. :) I can't find a setting for this anywhere so I'd like to hear from other 9700 Pro owners. Has anyone had the same problem, and if so, how did you fix it?

What resolution are you running windows at? I'm pretty sure you have to be running either 640X480 or 800X600 for it to output the whole screen to a TV (and most TVs I've seen can't do 800X600).

set the overlay mode the theatre, and make sure that the tv is set as the secondary monitor.... that will make it work correctly for outputing movies to the screen, but if you just want to look at your desktop for some reason i dont know how to change that... i never bothered

I'm not sure what the "Theater" is but I don't think I have it installed. I'm trying to use Zoomplayer to watch a movie.

It's one of the tabs where you have direct 3d, opengl, monitor etc... There's one called overlay

I've got nothing extra installed except the drivers and the little control application that's running in the task bar (it contains "Schemes","Settings", "Help" etc.). here is a screenshot of the "displays" tab in the advanced display properties. I can see that the resolution on the TV is set to 1024x768 but I can't find a way to change it.
