Picture resizing

Is there any way to make the thread show pictures that are already sized properly rather than resize them after they are displayed? I hate trying to keep a position on the page while it's spazzing up and down because pictures are showing and resizing.

Not really, that would require the servers here to download the pictures, process them, and then rehost them at various sizes. As it is now, the resizing relies on your web browser to do the work so when it occurs is at the mercy of the browser.

Personally, in Firefox or Chrome, I

  1. Block the resizing script with AdBlock, in Firefox:
    Code:
    http://forums.anandtech.com/clientscript/ncode_imageresizer.js*
    or Chrome:
    Code:
    http://forums.anandtech.com/clientscript/ncode_imageresizer.js*$domain=forums.anandtech.com
  2. Resize the images with the user style [post=28917005]here[/post]. You might want to adjust sizes for your screen and browser.
  3. Click on a post number to view the post with full-size images.
