Picture of Boston's Skyline

Took this back in mid-September. It's a merge of several photos. I actually didn't think it would turn out good. I was at Mount Auburn Cemetery, and there's a hill with a 100 foot tower on top. I do NOT do heights so I was shaking to the point my hamstrings were locking up along with my calves. But the picture came out good! Pict0r

UPDATE: I went back up to the tower on a VERY windy Halloween to get some pictures with the foliage. It was actually a bit blander than I thought it would be. Not sure if I was too late, but I honestly don't remember any trees really 'popping' this year. Nice pictures anyway.

The outskirts This is more cambridge, but it's pretty

The Big One. That's Boston, and north Boston. I can't believe how good this one came out considering how bad I was shaking from being up so high

Nice! Was the railing broken or is that a stitching issue on the bottom right?

Regardless, nice photo.

whoops! good catch! I may actually crop the railing out I'm thinking. I've got 100s of pics from this cemetery, just never got around to stitching the ones that needed it until now. I was shocked at how good that one looks

I see the Citgo sign at Fenway park 😛. Where's the state building with the big gold sphere?

haha i hadn't noticed that!

The state building's on the opposite side of the towers from where I am, this is from the north, looking south.

Nice picture. Might want to try stopping down the aperture a little more next time but still I like it. What camera/lens?

Canon powershot A20 stock lens lol

I never let myself buy something new if the old one still works...even if I want a new one. So you think reduce the exposure next time?

Reducing the aperture size could help to keep more of the image in focus, but that's assuming the limiting factor is not the lens. I don't know anything about the A20 so I don't know 🙂 This doesn't mean reducing the exposure though, you'll want to give a slower shutter speed to compensate.

ah, you can't adjust shutter speed on the A20s, or A40s I don't think
