picture cropping programs

anyone know any good programs for cropping pictures. i need to crop the pictures for my desktop wallpaper.

I use Paint.NET. It's like a super version of MS Paint, and it nicely bridges the gap between Paint and Photoshop.

You also need the .net framework installed which you can get free from MS.

Microsoft Picture Manager in MS office will crop pictures, but I've never used that. It's built in if you have Office though. Picassa might have something. I don't have it installed anymore to check though.
