we considered taht.. i dont know how to go about catching it though. i'm afraid if i touched it, he'd bite.

we were just going to keep him in the baesment, or a in a bathroom where he couldnt cause to much trouble ;)

WHATEVER you do, do NOT touch it! They WILL bite and they have a mouth FULL of sharp teeth. Growing up, my dad was a 'my excellent compatriot hunter and I saw MANY of his hounds take a BEATING from 'possums that bury themselves in a riverbank in a hole up to their neck. They WILL bite and I would just leave him be.

I didn't read the entire thread well because I'm lazy.

I would just leave it be, don't feed it otherwise it will depend on you.

Or you can always buy a Ronco Rotisserie oven, get some skewers and ...

I had one in my backyard a few years ago. Was a momma with 2 or 3 babies. Noisy too. She kept running back and forth a long the fence, babies climbing on then falling off as she would run. It was funny. They will bite too

Hahaha.... I just looked at your 3rd pic after my photochop, and it looks like he?s salivating... I'd be locking my doors if I were you.

Careful... It can sense fear.

stick your hand by its face. if it bites it, its probably rabid. if not, name it and keep by in your house and tell people you dont like that its rabid.

My friend caught a pidgeon with his bug net during the bug project :D He then put the pidgeon in a cage, but we couldn't catch another animal for it to fight :(

Three things: The "whiskers are dark in color (won't reflect light as easily);there are NO OTHER whiskers, (out of way too many), that are reflecting light and he/she is showing his teeth (lips pulled back/aka=salivating), in at least two of the pictures. Dude, you got a problem. Call animal control and SOON. Whateverwhoever he bites will be infected; that infection will be carried to the next animal, (hopefully not a person), etc, etc. This post was pretty funny and enjoyable to read; that is until I took a good look at the pics.
Hey, take it for what it's worth to you. Got any kids? Oops! Better make that call.

A little know fact about opossum's is that their body temp is to LOW for them to be able to carry rabies.

So your safe!
