PICS OR BAN

A friend of mine made a script to host photos. He owns VoyageHosting.com so its not like this is someone on comcast cable doing this.
he will eventually place adds on the page to try to make it pay for itself.
so if you just need a quick reliable upload

its endless space and BW

He's going to need to rewrite that script so that it doesn't save the filenames with what you upload with.

An image with this filename already exists. Rename your file and try again.
Go Back

Error code: 103

That's stupid, there is no reason for that.

BlahDOW!

That's great! Thank your friend for me! There's times when I'd like to just put a pic on a website real quick and not deal with logging in and all that. Friggin awesome!

Or, you could stop bitching about a free host, and stop being lazy and rename the file.

I'm not the only person that is going to have files of the same name. I'm not bitching either, im telling him a way to make it better and more usable.

Agreed. It should be done regardless.

At first I was thinking... promotion, is this allowed?

But now I see how cool it is and wanted to say thanks for letting us know!

Just tried uploading a random pic named amd2.gif

That's what I uploaded, amd2.gif. Since you likely saw that initially, and saw that I said "no accounts" would you expect this problem? Don't get me wrong, I agree there ought to be a workaround, but I don't understand why you would force this poblem - it's like beating your head against a wall.

he should fix that but this looks better than imageshack :-D

That's because there are no ad's yet.... but those ad's will be useless if this thing isn't very user-friendly.

I obviously expected the error. I was hoping that the system was not stable and would blow up for a bounded input. BIBO stability FTW!

Reading comprehension much? That was my original point.

It doesn't have to rename the image...just add a string to the address.

Like www.picsorban.com/58623/image.gif

im no coder but im sure he knows what to do. he just made this so give it time to develop, let the guy finish his lunch lol
