Haven't hiked Camelback in a few months...I think I'll test out my new shoes on it! Thanks for the idea. 😛

Looks HOT and dry...and like it's prime country for "shakytails" and cholla..(I hate those fucking cacti)

I did that back in 1998. I dont think Id do it again, but it was memorable experience to say the least, especially the when you get to the top and look down on the 'world'.

temp differential from ground to top that day?

It wasnt too bad that day. I did it a couple weeks ago a day after it rained in Phoenix. I try and do Camelback when its less than 100 degrees outside. Think ill try and go tomorrow.

I tried to get some panoramic photos of the greater Phoenix area the last time I hiked Camelback Mountain. These are the best I could do with my iPhone. Hope you enjoy them!

Hike up

EDIT: Link suckage

if you rally want a great view I suggest hiking up flatiron over at the superstitions. Amazing view from 5k ft. yeah it makes camelback look easy in comparison.

I did it twice on weekends in July and August last summer..once with manlymatt83. Talk about a rough climb, it was easily greater than 100 degrees out there. Any time of year though, it is a heckuva workout.
