The black one is closer to production (headlamps, taillamps, foglights, interior all look closer to the concept car). The red one is an early development mule
Am I the only one who thinks that all of those elements just look dated? I mean, this is 2003, not 1993. THe car looks gorgeous, but I still think it looks too 90's ish.
90's ish?? This car is classic 60's!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Back in the day, they gang r@ped Ferraris http://www.gt40.org.uk/ http://www.me.mtu.edu/~prater/GT40/GT40.html

Maybe it's just me, but I'd like to see some more modern headlights, tailights, and a more modern dash design.

Ummmm, then it wouldn't be a GT40 which then kinda defeats the purpose of the car...

I'm not seeing your point😕

SO, are they trying to recreate the exact GT40 from the 60's? (sorry, but I don't really follow supercars)

And didn't they dismantle a Ferrari or a Lambo to study how it was put together? If so, that means that they're definitly updating the mechanical design of the vehicle. The GT40 was a supercar of the past. If they're going to update the mechanical design to make it modern, they might as well freshen the cosmetic design also.

Do you mean head and tail lights that are found on the 350Z?

The car is hot, but for some reason, in the center console near the bottom, that all-silver setup screams SONY HEADUNIT. I don't know why.

What does a puny 350Z have to do with this discussion?!!?! Stop trying to turn this discussion into a flame fest, asshat.

Please tell me they are not going to use those old style headlamps. Projectors are superior in technology and light output compared to the semi-sealed beam it appears they are using. At least desgn them using like say for example Hella 90mm halogen lights or bosch, valeo, hella bi-xenon hid projectors. And as for the tails, they should incorporate leds into perhpas the shape they have right now.

I think the people who want to buy a GT40 would want it to look like a GT40.

You misunderstand, asshat, I was asking what kind of headlights you would like to see on this car.

Some HIDs with a unique design that were contained within current headlights space.

That can still be achieved even with an updated design.

The design WAS updated. It's not a 1:1 copy. It's about 8% larger in all dimensions and key areas of the design have been redesigned for better aerodynamics (the front end had some MAJOR lift issues on the original design) safety, etc.

Wow - looks beautiful. They need to work on polishing some of the exterior (IE - redesigning the headlights/tailights, making the interior sexier, etc), but ohter than that, it looks GREAT 🙂

I love the headlights, a slightly different shape might make them even hotter, but they're still damn nice IMO 🙂

Agree about the taillights though, aside from those, that car is badass!

Whats this thing gonna sell for? We talking ferrari style pricing?

The official word has been sub $150,000, but my guess would be not TOO much below $150K.
