The paint job they do is not obviously of OEM quality - you'll notice in a year or two.

Yes, that's exactly what you got. Rock chips are your friend. You'll have many of them. Don't bump into anything or get any door dings cause that paint will crack and chip right off. My Father-In-Law had a BMW painted by them prior to giving it to my wife, many years ago, as a graduation present and after a couple years that car looked like sh!t. I think it had more to do with the lack of prep work though. Looks like you did a fair amount of that yourself before you had it painted.

OEM paint jobs arn't that great. The paint on my subaru sucks.

That's a nice maaco job for $350, see how it holds up.

The thing I don't like is that painted the rub strip white. It looks muck better black or grey or whatever the original color is.

It looks nice but Maaco uses thin coats of inferior paint.

It's all fine and dandy until you get some miles on it. Hope your experience with their paint jobs is better than most peoples.

Why, in the name of all that is (un)holy did you choose white?

If you're going to repaint the entire car, at least pick a good colour. 😛

I was wondering the same thing. White is fugly.

I read those complaints, but I still think that $350 is a good way it seems to get a car with crappy paint looking ok. I wouldn't do it on a $25k car, but on a car worth a few thousand bucks I would.

$350 aint too bad I guess. But I would have gone with black so whatever mistakes they did isnt so obvious. 😀
