Definately the spoiler, it will run faster, cooler, and be more stable in Windows.

Yeah, blue and white leds all around. Real easy, whole thing can be done in 20 minutes.

I am thinking of crafting a spoiler and making a new case for the upcoming Lan Party in Illinois.

they sell those skyline GT-R emblems at kragen... maybe you should put that thing on too... and while you're at it... you can put an air filter in front of the vents... 😀 wooooo hoooo...

I have same case, similar LED fans in front, but a window kit, quad LED fans in rear fans, and blue LED fan over heatsink, and a cold cathode kit. Case nice and roomy for it.

you can do a search on google for "logitech led mod" or something. I found this really quickly;

If your mouse has a clear smoked base, consider using a white LED. I did that for my bro and it looks pretty nice. My mouse base is blue so white comes out like a muddy bluish. 🙁 You can get white and blues at radio shaft, but you want to get the brightest one of whatever color you're getting.

Also, don't swap the LED more than once or twice. I soldered mine 3 times and some of the traces started coming off. :Q

It doesn't seem to affect responsiveness but of course this depends how bright an LED you use.

Is there any danger of messing up the mouse when you change the LED in it? Or is it a fairly safe thing to do?

things could go wrong. You could solder so poorly that the thing becomes a fire hazard.
