Are you sure of this...I own a OCZ 520 w powerstream and the cables do not seem short to me....it is possible for the 4pin connector with my Neo 2 plat to be an issue...24pin(or is it a 20pin) will be fine

I just ordered this to replace a generic case that is 7yrs old..will move my Antec Sx 830 to replace the genric that my sons computer is in...and mine get s this puppy...I have no concern with placing the 4 pin across pci card..my not look as pretty.....

2. B/c of the location of the psu, some cables might be too short or need to be pulled to their full length to reach. My Seasonic S12 500 has that issue, no slack after connecting the 24pin and 4pin power connectors to the mobo.. But if you don't like the tight fit of your psu cables or they're too short, all you have to do is order some extension power cables adapters.

Thus, don't feel limited by your psu of choice.

where ca nyou get these adapters...

FYI: I found someone at forums hardwarezone using a OCZ 420 with no psu issues with the 4pin or 20/24 pin reaching his mobo with the antec..biggest issue was the bottom fans placement for the longer ocz psu...seem to fit fine in the psu cage

Yeah, I would like one for my case when I get one. I hope they do make side windows for this case.

Me three, if any Antec reps are reading this thread. I know the removal of one dampened side panel would end up increasing the noise output of the case, but I also know a lot of us out there would be willing to make that tradeoff to be able to show off the innards of this case.

Not holding my breath though.

Idk if you'd want to show off the innards in this case...cable management is gonna be a b!tch in this one. I've heard a lot of complaints about people having to improvise and put their cable under tension just to get them to their appropriate locations. I'm gonna give it a shot...but not holding out hopes for a clean case like Dynamix managed.

Cable management is a bit of a task, but if you have some patience you can most certainly get this case nice and neat the way I did. It may take a bit of work, but thats the sacrifice you have to make for everything to be neat. And to those of you with cables that are too short from your power supply, this isn't the end of the world for you guys either. Just be sure to get extensions for any cables that you need any extra length from.

I just got a fan controller today, and I had to add a bunch of wires, and extensions just to get everything nice and neat. And my case is still nice and near, you can't even tell I added any extensions to reach to the controller. Just have patience and everything will come out nicely, trust me.

Dynamix, how did you fare with cables without having to use extensions? All your cables were sleeved in the pictures you showed, so it didn't give a good judgement of wire tension or anything. Did your cables run to their designated spots nicely? Or did you have to improvise (more than you should have to) to get them all properly?

My power supply already has long cables so I guess I didn't have the same problems alot of other people are having with their power supplies that have shorter cable lengths. So all my psu wires reach their destinations without any stress. The only problem is the case is kinda small inside to me, since I am used to my Stacker before this which was huge and had so much room, this one is harder to move things around. But in the long run, the outcome is very nice if you just have a little bit of patience.

I realized last time I tested my temps, my CPU voltage was a little too high, that was the reason my temps were higher than expected. Well since then I have lower my voltage a little bit, and restested my fan settings for for new temps. And here is the outcome.

Air Condition On - 77F in my room
Voltage on CPU set at 1.550V in BIOS

Idle - Fan Speed High (12v)
CPU-24-29C
System-34C
GPU-59C

Load - Fan Speed High (12v)
CPU-36-40C
System-35C
GPU-69C

Idle - Fan Speed Low (5v)
CPU-30-32C
System-36C
GPU-62C

5v fan speeds @ full load are too dangerous, so I did not test those with my overclocked settings, since Prime95 would crash when ever I set it really low on my fan controller. I will only run really low fan speeds when I sleep and surf the web, since even at full 12v it still isn't really loud.

All fan speeds were controlled by my new Sunbeam fan controller. I have all fans hooked up to it besides the intake fan in front of my hard drives. That fan is permanently set to 5v. The fans I have connected are both the top and rear 120mm exhaust fans, the CPU fan, the GPU fan, and the Chipset fan.

I hate DFI. The placement of their motherboards' fan inserts is so STUPID. Unless the P180's fan cables are long...I don't think they'll work. There are two at the top left, and one is for the CPU fan. That leaves one port open for the entire top left area. In the P180, there are two fans in that area; the rear fan and the top fan. The next closest is at the center-right of the mobo...useless. And there are two more along the bottom, one of which will be useful.

Do these case fans HAVE to be plugged into the motherboard? Or can they run on their own?

The P180 case fans use 4pin power connectors, so unless you buy adapters, you will need to power them from your psu cables. A couple of y-adapters and if needed, extension adapters will take care of them.

Anyone know how to get the dust filters out? I push the tabs down, but then they still don't budge.

like the manual says, down and up or something? i got them out, but were a pain in the ass. same for those plastic fan mounts. also i need to call antec about my fans, one of them isnt working.

and what is everyones case temp? i'm running alil hot, 40c. my old case was 24c. i might have to add a front fan to see a drop in temp.

He is correct... 2 in the upper cage, 4 on the bottom, for a total of 6! :) Not to mention you could always put one in the 3.5" Floppy bay, and in the 5.25" bays if you had an enclosure or brackets to mount it.

I currently own the gog awful case in my sig.

Looking to upgrade bothe the PSU and the case soon.

I was going to wait for the new CM Stacker, but I also thought about this case.

I got a question, with the front door closed how do you get airflow in? I know there's a top fan and a rear fan, and there's one in the front right? With the door closed how do you get air in? Also is there a motherboard tray that comes out of the case?

I agree 100% you can actually feel good amount of air movement through the vents

I would like to say thanks to Dynamix3D for ruining my day. I bought this case last week and finished my wiring and now I find your thread and your pics. Just great man, I guess now I know what I will be doing tonight.

Only playing, but looks great.
