Not sure where the power thing came from too... it's only gone up (originally 480hp and now 545hp... 0-60 also changed significantly over time)

It might have just been a proposed HP decrease. I read about it awhile back. It was something like 5HP though, but like a $12k price increase. Obviously, the writer had little real knowledge of anything other than "omg higher number is better" though it seems.

Not sure where you got this from... there is a physical tachometer... there are also many many many electronical gauges ... gotta love Japanese electronics

My bad, I looked it up. The LFA is the one that has the digital tach. I'm getting the cars I'll never be able to afford to buy confused.

I thought they wer selling them, at a lose at first? That and the relability issues at first probably cost more than they budgeted.

No. It was a rise in the value of the yen versus the dollar that forced them to raise the price. I believe that it originally was priced around $70K, but it was somewhat difficult to find it without a huge markup. Over the years they raised the price A LOT, but they also improved the car a great deal and things that were options became standard, which lessened the pain somewhat.

If you read through that thread, I was the first one to point out that Castiel was a fake (post #691). Then Alkemyst insulted me saying that I shouldn't badmouth Castiel since I was a "loser" who couldn't afford a GTR. Oh the irony!
