** more carnage **

My little brother sent me these pics of what happens when you don't get a deep puncture wound treated. (Keep that leg clean! :Q)

First you notice the pain and puss...
Then you open it up and find sh!t growing in there that wasn't supposed to be.
So, they have to remove it.

Yummy. Think I want some pasta for lunch.
I am NOT clicking on any of those links.

You know you're curious.
I think one open wound is enough for the day...a festering one on top is not necessary. And to prove my point, I'm leaving the office now. 🙂

Cream filled danish, anyone?

Honestly, if you've hunted before and dressed out a carcass, this is nothing much to see. The OP's pic reminded me of field dressing deer, which reminded me of venison... so now I'm off to make a sandwich. D*mn you for wrecking my diet.

The surgery scene from the Empire Strikes Back was worse. 😉

I broke my right hip and femur and they had to do a fascciotomy to prevent the swelling from cutting off the circulation to my leg. I have to leave it open like that for 6-8 weeks. I thought some of you might be interested in seeing the pics of it.

watch out for the flesh eating staph.... don't want to get necrotizing fasciitis in your fasciotomy 🙁

yeah, when my brother had the compund fracture of his ankle, his skin graft #1 got infected with staph and ate a hole in the ankle the size of a half-dollar. Had to have a muscle and second skin graft to close it...took FOREVER to heal.
