Pics of my fasciotomy***It's Healed!!!

I broke my right hip and femur and they had to do a fasciotomy to prevent the swelling from cutting off the circulation to my leg. I have to leave it open like that for 6-8 weeks. I thought some of you might be interested in seeing the pics of it.

edit2:
well my leg is healing faster than expected. I'm going into surgery tomorrow to have a skin graft. Here is a current picture.

edit3:
skin graft hurts like hell🙁

update:
I just came from the doctor and my skin graft got infected and didn't take🙁. Now i'm going to have to repeat the whole process again.

new pics:
pic1 around the edge is the scar tissue that is growing. all the wholes are from staples that held the skin graft on
pic2 the place to the left is where they took the skin from for the skin graft that didn't work

update:
i'm back from the doctor. He wanted to do another skin graft and i said no. I am now aloud to put minimal weight on my leg. I go back in a month to see him again. By then hopefully it is almost completely scarred over.

update:
It has been a couple weeks since i posted pictures so here is a current one.

How do you keep it from getting infected? And is standing up even possible?

i'm on antibiotics and it is covered with gauze that has to be changed twice a day.
I'm allowed to stand up and walk with crutches.

How does showering work? Do you just kind of dab yourself with a damp cloth? Hot nurse sponge baths?

Why on earth would they leave it open like that? Even covering it with gauze doesn't seem like enough. Isn't there a polyeurothene covering they could have stapled on that? Don't you have problems with the outer tissue dying from moisture loss?

that looks awful, i would not know what to do with myself if that was me... :Q

i'm on percocet but when it doesn't really help much escpically when i have to pull the gauze off it.
