theres always one...

? Mclaren F1?

I meant that there is always one person making a ridiculous comparison...The enzo is a true sports car, the bugatti is a luxury vehicle with a monstorusly powerful engine...not a car to be compared with the enzo...sure it can pump out amazing performance figures...but what car cant with 1000hp and AWD...put it on the track and we'll talk...(waiting for topgear)

I would be incredibly suprised if the Veryon couldnt handily run with the Enzo.

The car is 1000lbs heavier and that's if it can even put all that power to the ground properly.

In my opinion, all out top speed contest are boring and unimpressive.

I'm not talking about all out speed contests.
Theres more to a race then any of the single items...
1) Weight
2) horsepower
3) Drive type (RWD, AWD, FWD)
4) Weight distribution
5) Acceleration
6) Top speed
7) Cornering abilities
8) The list goes on.

You have to look at the entire package. And I think the Veyron would run with an Enzo. What it loses in the corners it should make up for on the straights.

Heh... weight affects almost everything on that list. What a fatass. 😛

hell yea....lower the weight and you improve EVERY dynamic aspect of a car...but yet again i still doubt the veyron was designed to do this...

Whats the top rear car?
Bottom read is Zonda right? Then F50? Top middle, Lamborghin. But I cant figure out what that rear top one is.

koenigsegg CCR -> lamborghini murcielago -> Pagani Zonda C-12S 7.3 -> Lamborghini Diablo
Pagani Zonda C-12S 7.3 -> Ferrari F50 -> Ferrari F40 -> Aston Vantage V8

negative ghostrider - that is a jaguar xj220 (at least I think - definitely does not look like a diablo)

I'm sorry, you are incorrect. Check out the vents in front of the rear wheels, the wheels themselves, and the sideview mirrors.

Diablo

XJ220

So, a car that has a weight distribution of 25/75 and low end street tires will outperform a car that is identical in every way EXCEPT having 50/50 weight distribution, high end racing tires and weighting 200 pounds more?

So, a car that has a weight distribution of 25/75 and low end street tires will outperform a car that is identical in every way EXCEPT having 50/50 weight distribution, high end racing tires and weighting 200 pounds more?

first of all tires makes one of the biggest differences in performance...that comparison is just not fair...if they had the same tires and similar power...the 25/75 would most certainly win...because of better traction due to the weight distribution ( assuming we are talking about real cars...none of that FF sh!t)

But, I was just told weight is one of the biggest changes because it affects all aspects of the car.
I'll give you a weight advantage, you give me a tire advantage...

See my point? No single number on a car can be used as a basis of performance or comparison. We've seen the video of the 9000 pound truck running an 11 second quarter. Hell, thats faster then any Vette or Viper and probably weill into Ferrari range too. And its 90000 pounds.......

Which is why to say a weight advantage gives an advantage on the track is an unrealisitic statement. And that applies to any single number of a cars performance.

rite...weight improves every factor of a car...by how much is questionable...but grip is another story...because it gives that same advantage to either cars (or trucks)...faster than the ligenfelter corvette? dont think so...but still...that truck must have been seriously powered up. That is amazing!

Wow...quite cool...no nitrous or anything? why was it smoking so bad...is it burning jetfuel or something? 😉

also...is there any tech specs on that truck anywhere?

Propane injection I believe.
As for the smoke, thats what happens when you run a diesel REAL hard. She'll pull a damned mountain, but smoke like a freight train doin it.

4
5
7

4/7 is almost everything?

Hey it's more than 50% 😛

IIRC that F-350 has a 12V cummins in it running 80+ psi of boost. Around 800HP and 1400lb-ft. My uncle in law has a pulling tractor. he told me of others running quad turbos at over 100psi. I can't comprehend the amount of air it takes to run an engine at 100psi.

I cant comprehend how you keep heads on, short of welding the damned thing on.

The new Banks 6gun Prototype does 750hp 1000lb-ft with a Duramax, using something like 30psi. I believe given the right tranny, camshaft, and torque converter ou could easily pull a 11 second 1/4-mile. But it uses something like 800 cu-ft/min. Very powerful indeed.

I don't see how in the heck it gets that much power with only 30psi. Heck my stock ram 2500 runs at 20+psi

Depends on the size of the turbo. HP relates to flow more than pressure.

I had only seen the pictures where it was that ugly purple and black two-tone paint job. The white and blue doesn't look too bad, but it looks real straight in a solid dark color.

I know it's $1.4 mil and all, but that car is fugly. I'd take anything off the truck before I would take the Bugatti. Even if I won it or something rediculous, I would sell it off and buy a decent looking exotic.

Yeah, me too. That Koenigsegg is awesome.

Do you have any more info on that pic? It appears to be in Norway, but that's all I can figure.
