It really doesn't matter what we think, the issue will be fixed.
The higher-ups feel that such things give the forums an unprofessional appearance.

I could care less about having pics in the sig, however it is laughable to think that they give the forum an 'unprofessional appearance.' With all of the other horseshit that goes on, I would think that pics in the sigs are the least of their worries. This is hardly a professional forum as it is and coupled with the fact that most of these avatars are unprofessional looking, therefore I think professionalism is already out the door.

Professionalism might not be the right word. Non-annoying may be. I CAN'T STAND goning to the little riceboy forums with the 1024x768 size fscking sig pics of their ugly as sin piece of sh!t bondo mobiles.
It really screws with the feng shui of the forums.
So...why are you going to the little riceboy forums in the first place?
Yes. It's in the same vein as any text in sigs. Images and text are equally likely to offend a close minded person. Since you don't have the right to be not-offended you can rely on your option to disable viewing sigs. That way you don't hamper the freedom of expression of someone with whom you do not agree.
