Well, we finally got our new mail server in at work and I managed to grab some snaps with my new digicam (FujiFilm FinePix 2600z). So these snaps are kind of me testing the camera out. We have to convert our now linux mail/db/web server to FreeBSD (already installed) and convert all of the users over. Here's the pics of the new server (Dual PIII 1.1GHz, 2GB RAM, 6x 36GB hot-swappable SCSI RAID w/ 128MB Super I/O SCSI card):

(These pics are not 56k friendly at all...)

That is one expensive piece of machinery...can I borrow it? :D

Here's a stupid question. That's obviously a pro-grade server...it's got six SCSI drives. How are they setup? Six independent drives? RAID 5? RAID 25 (j/k) just curious. me\<---knowledge sponge...too bad head is like a sieve.

The RAID on the server is RAID 5. It was around $7k when we got it.

We also have a PowerEdge 2400 (P3-866), 1GB RAM, 4x 18GB RAID 5 as a security and authentication server.
