Pics from my Wheeling Trip on the 4th

Yup we went all the way to the top. No snow on the trail. There was some off to the side in a few spots near the top though.

We were going to run Red Cone but webster pass is still under snow.

I love that first fireworks pic. Still enough light to make out the background, but great contrast on the pyrotechnics. Nice!

Those are some very blue skies. Was that tweaking through PS or using a circular polarizer/ND filter?

High altitude + HDR effect.

We were up at over 12,000 feet.

Makes it look like a commercial/magazine photo, awesome! What cam/lens?

I always like to see SUV's being used for the purposes of off-roading. I did a little off-roading in my Toyota Echo in the forest roads of Flagstaff this past weekend and I poked a hole somewhere in my exhaust system. Car doesn't sound right anymore, but it's not like that's the first time it's happened...

JB Weld to the rescue! 😛

If you're ever in the area, I'd be happy to take you on a trail somewhere. Twin Cone is a really nice one.

I want to go back and spend some time there with more focus on my photography rather than wheeling. I just did handheld shots and HDR to fix the issues with dynamic range during mid-day. Mosquitos were hellish though. I'd like to go back for a sunrise/sunset shot. Need to get the light bar put on my truck though for that.

You should see about fixing that exhaust leak - you'll lose power and hurt gas mileage.
