PICS!!! Chrysler's First RWD sedan in years...Chrysler 300C

I don't know about Chrysler's quality, but I've gotta hand it to them for their ballsy designs. I sure do hope this hits the showroom at that $30K figure. I also hope their next model is even bigger! Any specs on this as far as the wheelbase and what-not?

Surprising that it's actually shorter than the 300M - it looks far more imposing. They're definitely taking a risk with this design... but if they can keep the price down around $30K, I think these will really sell. We need more great American sedans.

Why does everybody consider Chrysler to be Domestic?

Isn't Daimler-Chrysler now a German company? 😛

The front end on that thing is butt ugly. The Dodge variant is going to look the same, except with the cross-shaped grill they have on their trucks. Not much of an improvement.

Major OWNAGE just unleashed on GM and Ford 😀
The 300C uses rear suspension, steering, transmission and electronics from the Mercedes-Benz E-class sedan. It is deliberately big instead of cab-forward trim; is a rear-wheel-drive chassis with an all-wheel-drive option, not cab-forward's front-wheel drive; is powered by a 5.7-liter Hemi V-8 instead of a 3.5-liter V-6 engine.

Expect a price around $30,000.

Now THIS is a Domestic car that I would pick over Japanese imports. Acura TL?? Puhlease. Lexus ES300?? Give me a break. Toyota Avalon/Camry? Buahaha.

300C? SCHAWING! 😀

Yep, me too 🙂 That AWD would be pretty handy over here, too.

You know those hemis. Total garbage. Flawed concept. Underpowered.

I don't think "hemi" and "sucky powertrain" belong in the same sentence.

Heh heh, Laust is a well-known, um, "un-fan" of recent Mopar trannies. 😉 And to be fair, for the last few years they have had a pretty bad rep, with a lot of issues in various lines of cars and trucks.

Interesting new theme the Chrysler cars have. It's good to see they are saving money by sharing parts between models (like the grill on this car is shared with the new RAM truck)

It's an entirely different powertrain that those of late. Yes the Intrepids have a bad rap for horking something in the driveline, well this isn't an Intrepid or anything else that is currently in production.
