I remember being able to download an earlier version of the pics software, but I can't find anything now. Is it possible to get their software?
 
Last time I talked to DannyBoy (one of the current developers) he said that they were thinking about charging for the new code base (3.0) but that the old one (2.95) will remain on Sourceforge. I don't know what they're currently up to with that, but send him a PM to get any info you need about the latest version.

I wonder, if I throw in an extra $10 will he give me a version that doesn't say "Loading, please wait..." everytime I click a link?

That drives me crazy. 😛

Just guessing here, but that's probably just a div tag that shown/hidden by the css file. I bet you could disable it using firefox and usercontent.css

Yeah it was a fairly rapid dev build that was extremely inefficient and unfinished so we ended up rolling back but neither of us had time, work was started on a beta version of 3.0 but again, time got in the way.

I've actually got a couple of weeks off work now so I'm planning on building a few new things, one of them will be a gallery server which will most likely be laravel / symfony based on the API side with a React front end, I need to build one anyway for a replacement music website with 100k users that's well over due an update!
