I love the look of the phone and I love the interface and the ideas behind it, but the experiences I have had with its functionality have been horrible; problems with everything and SO much lag.
Lets start with the apps;
The app store is a great idea and I think its really cool all the apps you can download and use, but NONE OF THEM WORK!! Ill download apps and then work for a few days, then stop working and the only way to get them to work again is to uninstall and reinstall them.
Now, multitasking...it cant do it! I have to power cycle the phone at least twice a day because after using too many apps it will slow down to the point where everything lags. The other night I had GPS and a web page open in the background and I was trying to send a text message. There was about a two second delay between when I would click a letter and when it would actually show up on the screen.
And then of course there is the time the other day when it crashed on me. I pulled the phone out of my pocked and pushed the home button and nothing happened, then I pushed the top button and still the screen was blank. I held down the top button and nothing. I had to hold down the home and top buttons for about 2 minutes before the phone turned back on.
I love the look and the UI but I just keep having issues with it and I just really hate the fact that there is no MMS. I know there are alternatives to MMS ont he iphone, but they have not worked for me. Ive tried sending them using those MMS email addresses but it doesnt work for me. And when other people send an MMS to me I dont even get that link to viewmymessages.com or what ever it is. Now I just have to decide if I want to go exchange it for another iphone and try my luck with that or just return it all together and wait for the BB Bold.
