Okay so I'm confused. I just looked up 'SkyRe' and it appears to be: Skyrim Remade, which is just a perk tree overhaul.

There is another thing called Skyrim Requiem which is a complete overhaul of the game.

Then there is Perkus Maximus which is an (updated?) complete overhaul of the game. Which one are you talking about norseamd?

I need to go back and play this game. My initial play through was on a 360 so after I built a PC recently I fired up Skyrim. Without a single mod it obviously looked night/day compared to the 360.

Anyone have good class suggestions for a second play through? I think my first time through I was primarily ranged/bow. Would be pretty cool to go hack and slash or even mage if that isn't too cumbersome.

I went with a sword and board warrior with a little restoration magic and enchanting thrown in the first time I played.

My current play through is with a stealth bow user. I think the bow user is much more fun, so I might suggest going with a mage the next time around. A pure warrior is fun to a point but it got a little boring once I had crafted a couple of awesome swords and heavy armor.

I also modded the game quite a bit for the second time around. I didn't change a whole lot in terms of gameplay (I tried Requiem in the past and it just isn't for me) but graphically you can make this game look awesome. I also installed some follower tweaks to make them more useful.

Requiem is a hardcore mode overhaul of the entire game system, basically. Norsemd is a big fan :). I'd say generally that it appeals to a relatively niche playerbase. I almost gave it a try. Might still.

Unfortunately not until the tail end of my weekend so I only got a few hours to play.

I downloaded nexus mod manager and a few mods:

-More armors
-More weapons
-Ordinator skill tree overhaul (400+ perks)
-Immersive cities/creatures/forts (way more NPC's/mobs)
-Item recycling (smelt weapons/armor to base materials)
-Soul trading (trade dragon souls for perks)
-Apocalypse magic (more spells)
-More enchants
-Alternate start location/story
-iNeed (required to eat/sleep/drink)
-Few patches/HD textures

Having a blast so far, have NO idea what to do, I'm just kind of wandering around killing stuff and making money/trying to level.

Any mods that you have experience on that were epic? What about the quest lines? I have all DLC. I think I did the mages guild and the fighters guild but that was about it, never finished the main questline.

Thoughts?

Become a werewolf... its good times.

Become a werewolf... its good times.

I did the vampire stuff years ago, sided with them and made them turn me...I remember that being fun. If I can stop starting over and changing my character builds I'll have to try it.

Someone mentioned sword and board style playthrough. I'm tempted to do that since I always end up going stealth/bow. Is block even worth it vs. 2 handers though?

That decapitation fatality....ftw. :sneaky:

Block always seemed to work well for me, assuming you get the timing right. Plus, having a shield gives you yet another item to throw some nice enchants on.
