Good choice on the Mini! I also had an Cooper S briefly (with the turd looking key, 07 maybe?). Red with the white roof and mirrors. The harsh ride (and size) made me give it up after about a week or so, but I still had a lot of fun driving it.

<--this week in a semi-decent 08 CTS. I spent all last week in a minivan, so I deserve it.

i don't find the ride to be harsh at all. probably because of the stiff suspension i had on the maxima. the mini ride feels softer than the softest setting in my maxima.

Got the convenience, premium, and cold weather package plus xenon, rear fogs, wood dash/wheel/knob, and the dark headliner. $26.9K msrp w/o markup and $29.6K out the door.

Just wish they took 87 octane and had the same power/mileage. I also wish they would just make a freaking electric car like the EV-1 and get 150-200 mile range for under 35K. (why the hell add the extra weight complexity and cost of two engines/fuels to extend the range when you could just use more batteries?!)

EDIT: I'm sure you saw my 07 MCS in Dark Grey, with black roof and mirrors, with a manual transmission in The Garage. Thread.

sweet! I've never seen this color. But so expensive for such a little car. btw with the bad economy like right now, can dealers still markup and expect to sell? It's not really a rare car like the GTR.

they certainly are marking up and still sell like hotcakes...i was lucky to get the $2500 waived...they refused to throw in wheel locks because of that but i was able to squeeze mats out of them.

lolz...basically Im just saying I wish car makers in the US would get their heads out of their assets and make us a good product, but I know its not gonna happen. Not for a long time anyway. A small car like the cooper should get 30+ MPG on 87 octane and still be sporty to drive...and we should have electric cars that are better than the ones made 20 years ago. And trucks should be more aerodynamic, and...yeah, stuff.
