Picked up the car this past weekend. Wow! I really do get a stupid grin on my face. The car is so much fun. It was totally worth the 9 week wait. Got the convenience, premium, and cold weather package plus xenon, rear fogs, wood dash/wheel/knob, and the dark headliner. $26.9K msrp w/o markup and $29.6K out the door.

congrats on the car....but you paid a markup on a Mini? They are still putting markups on those things? I definitely would have gotten a GTI if that were the case.

no i talked them out of the markup. however, they typically put a $2500 markup for the S models. all 5 dealers in my area do it because they can.

Ah gotcha. I was thinking the $29K was with the markup. Since I never pay more than $300 in tax in my state...I'm not used to the extra cost associated with tax.

I kind of like the new mini clubman, but I still need something with AWD

I think they're coming out with a crossover type vehicle soon with AWD; i'd be interested in that

I love those cars... But just not that color. Congrats on your purchase, and I'm sure you'll enjoy the car immensely!

That's a love or hate color. I love it. A shade lighter/brighter would have been slightly better though. Have fun.

Not my kind of car for sure (I don't know if I'd fit.. how's the leg room?) but that's why you bought it and not me ;)

Fed and Prov sales tax in Ontario combines to 13% :( I have to pay that even if I buy a car from the state and import it.

Don't rally care for the unscaled mini, it just goes against everything it stood for.
I wouldn't mind taking Charlize Theron for a ride though.

Looks nice. I wonder if prices on these are going to tank next year with more yuppies getting laid off and oil price dropping like a rock. May pick a used one up if the price is right.

my old 96 maxima was leaking, haha. glad i was able to sell it two weeks ago for $4200. the wet spots on the floor is from the solution during the clear bra install.

thanks the the comments. i for one would have gone with the red one but my wife picked the yellow. its growing on me every day. i think it'll look nice after i get rid of the rest of the chrome, throw on a wide black stripe down the middle and put on some driving lamps.

That would be grounds for divorce for me. I mean to choose yucky yellow over roaring red. Incompatible.:D

Otherwise, those cars are sweet.
