Just arrived today at the local EBX. What a great game. Uses the Quake3 engine.

Also $10 mail in voucher at EBX.

I'm stuck on in the temple were you get all your force powers. The last one I got was Jump, how to I get out of this place.

i guess i am the odd man out. i felt i like i was a camerman in a jumping electric wheel chair w/ a light saber. woo hoo get the key, open the door, did i do this a billion years ago in quake? i found the levels in single player boring and uneventful. only multiplayer was fun, but single player sucked big time.

I'm getting killed in the first base!! WTF are some health recharge stations?!? Man, and I'm getting motion sick too.🙁

Okey-dey. Need to lie down. Can't believe how dizzy I got. (Yes, I turned off view sway.)

Anyone trying volumetric shadows? Dunno if I like the polygons blanking out like that on their faces.

The active cursor is a little annoying, but it doesn't bother me too much. Multiplayer is a blast, although unless you're a dark jedi, Force Absorb is almost required with everyone spamming force lightning. And I *hate* it when a duel gets inturrupted by some idiot with the rocket launcher looking for two quick frags. The in game challange system is nice, but no one I've challanged will accept, or servers have it turned off.

I think raven could at least have changed the level loading and level change screens. It makes it look like I'm playing a Quake3 mod, because they're so similar.

Ok, there should be some ledges around a room and you need to jump on them to get up to the doors at the top. Sorry for not being so descriptive. It is the room you came in first when you were doing the force training.

I've been seeing a lot of people (on several gaming forums) either hating it or loving it. Can anyone give it a better description maybe.

I haven't played the single player much, so I can't judge it. What I played was very good though. My only complaint is the active cursor, which doesn't stay stuck in the center of the screen.

The multiplayer is lots of fun, especially if you like fast paced gaming. The biggest slam of JK2 MP so far has to be from Gabe of Penny Arcade, who thought it was rediculous to see stormtroopers and Lando with lightsabre's fighting, as well as everyone being a Jedi. But, that's exactly how the multiplayer was in the original, and it was just as fun. I wish there were more lightsabre-only servers though...

Looking over a MP battle of several Jedi going at it in one area is amazing. It looks like that one scene from the EP2 trailer where you're overlooking the arena and the Jedi are all fighting.

Well I'd post my opinion, but since FEDEX and I seem to miss eachother by minutes, I've got to wait until tomorrow (or Monday). The stupid thing is that I preordered it, and got next day air shipping, and I still don't have it.

The game gets fantastic once you get your lightsaber and your force powers.... walking into a room full of Stormtroopers and just using Force Push to shove them all down is great... then hack them up with the saber while they are down.

Or pushing someone off a platform and hear the scream all the way down. Grip is pretty damn cool too... nothing cooler than doing the Vader death grip. The forces are used very well in the game.. several puzzles force you to use them to solve and then they become 2nd nature.... I almost always push or mind trick my enemies before taking them down with a saber throw.

I remember playing Dark Forces when it first came out and seeing Bobba Fett.... that excitement is back 🙂

Yeah, complaining to FEDEX got me Saturday delivery. It's finally here. Too bad I'm getting motion sickness now (it's been quite a while since I've played a FPS). This is awesome.

I was pretty dissapointed although i'm not a big star wars fan. Running around waving a light saber around like a stick got old fast. And single player, which i havent played much of, starts off boring to me.

Amazing that people actually get motion sickness from fps's. I suppose I can understand it, but is it really that realistic?

It's not that, I'd bet. Usually the weapon bob gets people, it might be the active cursor in the game that's causing it. I'd bet some of the cases of motion sickness are from people with Nvidia graphics cards and high end monitors running them at 60hz. You have to download the refresh rate fix for nvidia cards, which keeps it at the max your monitor can do in games, which stops the motion sickness. I had the same problem with my new monitor, running the refresh rate fix stopped it.

I've only played 2 or 3 levels now, and while the gameplay is just ok so far, the graphics are OUTSTANDING. Running on an XP1800@145fsb and a Ti4400. 1600x1200x32 with everything maxed except for shadows which are simple, it looks like a f'ing movie. Last night this storm trooper ran through a door and I swear it was just like watching tv, it looked damn near perfect. Animations and graphics/sound are top notch. The empire must recruit storm troopers at Wal-mart. It's just like the movies, they can't hit schit.

I have into the third level and game is fun so far..but I agree with many of the reviews constantly running around trying to find the key/switch..the solutions in some cases are not close to obvious and it is true the fights are intense for few minutes then alot of chasing your tail.....
I do not feel the key/switch/puzzle solution needs to be easy but at times it does get frustrating and monotonous(sp)...the graphics are excellent the AI is very good even for the easy settings ....

I really enjoyed MOH..very nicely done with great grahics and AI....

So far I still think Deus Ex is my top game....JK1 was tops for its time....but Deus Ex had great action, graphics and very engaging almost addictive game play....

I am hopeful JK2 will only improve and will be on my short list of all time greats..gotta love the Stars Wars universe..also I think so far Raven has done a excellent job with development...the game does not feel like a beta but a real finished product...jeez think of that...

And I disagree this does not feel like Star Trek:EF..the color graphics were a bit too colorful and game play was very linear and short.....

Anyway this is my 2 cents
