T-Mo isn't officially releasing this til the 15th, but I read on some Android forums that Walmart already started selling them since the 8th. I called the local one here to verify and sure enough they had 1 left in stock.

best thing is that i was up for a 2yr renewal. T-Mo wants $249 for it, but I got it at Walmart for $128.99!!! It's $148.99, but sign up for their credit card and get $20 off. There is an $18 activation fee though.

I'll post impressions later this evening, but so far the phone looks great. it's thin, extremely light, and svelte. not bulky like the evo 4g.

Read the review for this phone the other day and it looked great. I love my HTC. I just with their screens could compare with Samsungs.

why would you sign up for a whole new credit card just for $20 bucks...not worth the hassle IMHO.

sweet phone though...I'm going to buy one if/when it is unlocked.

how is that instant camera? have you had a htc phone before and can you comment on the difference? the lag on my N1 always annoyed me...

i'm coming from an htc G2. you talking about the lag between taking pictures? if so, the sensation takes almost twice as long as the G2.

so far i am loving this phone. it sleek and extremely responsive. i really love how light it is. doesnt hurt your hands like the G2 did after extended periods of uses. has an hdmi/usb connection, but the cable wasnt included. this is my first experience with the Sense UI and i'm really digging it. most of what you read in the reviews is spot on, except for phone quality. a few reviews knocked on that but i found it to extremely crisp and sharp. the phone does seem buggy every so often. it would freeze up when switching between apps. hopefully thats just an isolated case. havent tried audio yeat or the Nova HD game that came with it. for 148.99 though, its damn worth it. saw the infuse today too and liked that. the sensation qHD display is almost on par with amoled, imo

i was referring to the lag between pressing the shutter button and the image being captured. my n1 takes up to a second unless I pre-focus

any contrast based AF is slow. look at any P&S. and plus, any photographer knows you should prefocus first, but i guess this is hard when they keep making phones withOUT hardware shutter buttons :(

G2 :)

But you have to hold the stupid thing down for like 5 seconds before the camera launches.

BTW Sandeagle, did you have any problems with dust under your G2 screen?

no issues with dust on the G2. and I haven't been using a screen protector with it for the last 5 months. do you keep it in your pocket? I kept it in a holstered leather case at all times.q

btw, one of the biggest fail on this phone is that you can't rotate the icons to landscape mode on any of the home screens. the keyboard on this thing feels great.

how is it, still deciding between this and the g2x

I was considering the G2x as well since radio shack had it for 149.99. however, the sensation is a more powerful phone with better features and gingerbread 2.3.....and costs less. or wait for the galaxy s2.....comes out next week I think

well, unfotunately i am running into death grip issue that some have complained about online. if i am connected via wifi and switch to landscape, i lose wifi connection immediately. not holding it weird, just the way you'd hold a psp.
