He is growing into that head. At one time he may have had hydrocephalus. but it seems to have cured itself. He was premature, so his body needs to catch up to that head.

Funny story. My friends sister who is tiny, had a daughter with an enormous head. The doctors were concerned and wanted to consult specialist's etc. On a subsequent visit she was accompanied by the paternal grandfather and the doctors concerns were assuaged. He's 6'4" and is a big guy with an enormous head, but relatively proportionate. I'm sure your son will be fine.

He is already taking 24 ounces of formula a day, plus 6 jars of baby food, oatmeal for breakfast (almost as much as I eat), and 3 fruit smmothies a day. He eats really good, but is gaining very little. He is getting tall though.

He loved the bouncer when he fit in it, Now he has an exersaucer, he is already wearing out the springs in it. He now is crawling (10 months old, 11 on July 12). chases us all over the house. He even chases our 2 dogs.

was he purely formula fed or did you eventually put him on formula?

jeebus that sounds like a lot of food. our 3 wk old girl takes in about 18 oz formula a day with some breast milk in there too.

He eats good, and is VERY active. It is hard keeping up with him sometimes. He already likes to bounce everywhere. Pulls up and stands. He does eat A LOT, but he works it off as well.

He has always been formula fed, wife had hypothyroidism, her milk never came in. So he has alway had formula. We also mix 4 oz of formula with his oatmeal inthe morning, so you might as well add an extra 4 ounces to his diet.

He is alway smiling, It is very rare you see him cry or get unhappy. He has discovered how loud he can yell though, did that the other night in Red Lobster.

ok this might sound like a weird question, but how long was it before he started smiling? our little girl doesn't really have any expressions yet. of course, she's only 3 weeks old. she doesn't really do much now anyway except for sleep, cry, eat and p00p.

we've gone out with her but not to a restaurant yet. it seems like it would just be too difficult if she woke up and we had to heat up some formula right there.

instead we take her to scary movies at 1am. j/k

Sean was born August 12, his first real smile was on November 18, as well as his first laugh. Things come in spurts. and sometimes they really do happen fast.

Don't push for her to grow up, let her enjoy being a baby. Cherish the times she smiles at you. Let her sleep on your chest occasionally. Snuggle her close, smile at her a lot, and don't let her hear you and your wife get mad at each other.
