good day daer friends :)

Taking Raspberry Pi things ( i e. projects ) off the grid and trying to make them portable is very very promising: Well we have literally a world of possibilities, and create outdoor environmental monitoring stations
or other mobile systems.
Well - there we need to take care of a stable power supply: I think we are able to use batteries as a power source.
But there are more options: besides the option of choosing the appropriate battery we have more options for example we can

a. integrate a BMS - a battery management system - i e. Power Management Software Tools - but on the other side we ve got even more
b. use Advanced Power Management Techniques – for examle: Scheduling Shutdowns und Startups:

which options do we have here!?

background: i think of a littel weather station and i think that i can use advanced Power Management techniques here.

would it be a good thing to limit the sending time - i.e. sending data from the garden to the main-station in the house only for several seconds a day - and then power off the whole system....

what would you say.

greetings.:)

Not sure what this has to do with Distributed Computing. Are you planning to make some sort of BOINC like project that tracks weather using custom devices or something?
