Physx in Borderlands Pre-Sequel

Looks like its been completely revamped from BL2. Effects are very well done this time around with little performance penalty, even on ultra high. Its a bit funny in the sense that its realistic as I've seen physx done but to see it in a non-realistic, cartoonish game 😀. Although can easily do ultra high on my 770, physx looks best to me on medium with just the right amount of particle effects to look at its most natural. Finally physx done right imo.

It also works well with AMD cards. Not sure if its a different implementation of physx or run through the CPU, but looks the same to me on NV card:

I'll be glad to see it on AMD cards (presumably CPU).

BL2 is the only game I've really enjoyed physx in although they were so overdone that it brought my 690 to it's knees.

It's great to hear, and imo the only way to make it succeed in the long run.

The PhysX in BL2 is likely using the newest 3.3 SDK, which explains why it runs so much better; even on AMD rigs which have to use the CPU..

Are you sure that BL2 and Pre-Sequel runs physX 3. All I hear around the web is that Gearbox is too lazy or refuse to update from PhysX 2.8.6. They even got Nvidia Engineers helping them on BL2.
