Physics question of the day - what speed is gravity?

I don't know. I've never tried to simulate orbits.

My understanding was that Newtonian gravity was rapidly proven not to work as a model of the solar system; even while Newton was alive, astronomers were starting to be suspicious that the orbit of mercury didn't quite fit. Shortly after Newton's death, telescope technology had progressed to the point where the measurements were clear; Mercury's orbit was clearly inconsistent with Newton's gravity.

A series of additional anomalies inconsistent with Newtonian mechanics were discovered by astronomers over the next couple of centuries.

I'm led to believe (but I'm not an expert in this) that Einstein's GR was able to provide an exact match to the observations without any anomalies.

I think you're right about Mercury. iirc that was one of the first big confirmations of relativity. (not googling!) Unfortunately I didn't think to ask him about that.

gravity is a force not an object accelerating through a space.

its like asking what is the speed of a magnetic field

It's all - Relativity....

It's all about formulas and measurements that people agree or disagree...

Speed? How is it measured?

Does Time Exist?

Clocks, watches does not measure a time - if a clock or watch stops, so-called - "time" does not...

If Time - as in human perception, does not exist, how can be then speed measured?

Humans can feel "speed of time" - lazy human's "day" last longer that busy human's "day"...on the other hand - "workday" can last forever....and "vacations" go by very "fast"...

Programmed robot won't notice this, humans can...

So, what are all those measurements and formulas? For humans or for human-robots?

Humans created all these measurements and formulas for themselves...isn't it so?
I isn't an UNIVERSAL Standard - a Standard of The UNIVERSE...Who do know, maybe there other species living somewhere and have their own standards...

What if...there other species? And they look at us - humans, like we look at mosquitos, who live an average "3 human days"? But those mosquitos live in their measurments almost like we do...because, somewhere in UNIVERSE, can be species, that live 10000 "human years" and they can look at us like we were a mosquitos with our- "human 100 year lifetime"?

Does humans do know ALL about UNIVERSE?

Doesn't it look, that humans with their created measurements and formulas look like a hamsters running in a wheel?: day/night, month/year....and humans closer to the poles - half year day/half year night - just a hamster, who came off the wheel - to eat or to sleep...

So, who does know ACTUAL Measurements of Everything...

All I do know...humans are Self-Centered, Self-Important with their measurements and formulas...who even dream to explore The Unverse?

With Guns and "Democracy" - to make OTHERS - so called aliens... live by our - human measurements and formulas?

What if they have different measurements and formulas? And we are just like mosquitoes to them?

So...

What's a Speed Of Time?

What's a Speed Of Time?

Speed is distance over time.

You can think of the speed of time as C.

Of course time exists.

And yes a clock does measure time. If a clock stops all you have is a broken clock.

Perception of time changes but the passage of time locally doesn't change just because you feel like time is moving fast or slow.

The formulas humans have are created are to explain the universe.

They will have different formulas and measurements, but they will be similar and if we are correct with our formulas will be able to transform one to the other.

Time goes by at a rate of 1 second per second man.
