No I just noticed that Asian people always seem to be grouped with whites instead of with the "minorities".

It doesn't take a genius to figure out why. Asians are an inconvenient fact for liberals that shows that non-whites can succeed.

Well, we all know which states have the fattest people... and it's not those "liberal" ones (can't stand how the words liberal and conservative are thrown around as representations of the Democrat and Republican parties).

All you have shown is that while white people are OVERWEIGHT blacks/hispanics are OBESE.

Yup, and I also know that it is a technical distinction that doesn't matter much... both BMI categories still mean FAT. If you want to cling to a relatively meaningless technicality, be my guest... but you're a dumbass for doing so.

Broken down by states, which combined with data on how those states voted, it shows that your original claim... that ethnicity is a significant factor in how fat people vote... is wrong.

Intellectuals (spent their entire life in academia or people who have liberal arts degrees) usually vote Democrat.

Smart people (individuals who work in the private sector and start businesses) generally vote Republican

People who do/have done both are call libertarians.

I made fun of both pseudo-science reports in this forum, this one and the other one by John Cook. You heartily endorse one ridiculous study while getting all huffy about the other peer reviewed study, confirmation bias anyone?

It is also amongst the blackest if not the blackest. As I pointed out earlier black people are 50% more likely to be obese than white people. Pretty sure black people don't vote Republican.

The disparity in Mississippi is 66% of white people are overweight/obese and 74% of black people are overweight/obese. Hardly the knock-out conclusion (that race has a lot to do with it) that you're looking for.

Black voter turn-out in 2012 was highest in three states, of which Mississippi was one... yet the state remains solidly "red". So.. white people in MS are almost as fat as black people in MS and solidly elect Republicans.
