Hey all.....

Once in a while with my computer I receive the pleasant little blue screen that says the comp is dumping the physical memory, and then after a min or so it shuts down. This happens either when I am playing a game or who knows what else.....But I am lost :( Any ideas?

Crap.....forgot the specs.....

P4 3.0ghz
1024mb PC3200 DDR
Geforce FX 5200 256mb
SB Live Audigy 2
Gigabyte Ga-8IPE1000 Mobo

Happens to me too! Are you using the latest dets for your card? I am and am convinced that is why its happening, maybe these drivers suck but I seriously dont think its the card. It could be my OS too because my disc has a slight crack in it and Ive formatted with it about a week ago. I sent MS a request for a replacement so I hope that is the problem but if not then I think it would be the drivers since the IRQ on my vid card isnt having any conflicts. It may be a heat issue since its happened less ever since I reset my clock speeds to default but I dont know.

Hmmmm......I don't think the drivers would be to blame.
I'm using the latest Det 53.03's and every game i've played has been flawless.
Never had a crash yet, even after hours of Call of Duty at 1280x1024 :)
Maybe it's time for a format?
Hope you fix it! :)

I think its actually my memory timings. Stock is 6-3-3-2 but and I was experiencing the problemsat 6-3-2-2 but now I have them at 11-3-2-2 and havent had a problem yet. I hope this fixes it but there is also a slight crack in my XP CD so I ordered another one from MS tech support for free and should be getting it in a couple of weeks.

Yep I think I fixed it! None of my games crash anymore and I have yet to see the BSOD. Good luck to you Peebly!

You figure it was your ram tweaking that did it?. Cause I changed my det drivers back to an older version so I will run the system as is for now and see how she goes.

Ya I suppose unless it happens again but I am very pleased with how my system is running now and have been running it hard so everything seems ok. I hope it works out for you too. I had my timings at 2-2-3-4 about a week ago and 3dMark03 was showing my system as 1.8 GHz instead of 2.3GHz so I changed to timings to 2-2-3-6 and it worked just fine. Now I have them at 2-2-3-11 which are reported to be better speeds on an Nforce2 system.

How do you do this on XP? I'm still getting the BSOD and it's citing Physical Memory Dump as well. I have a 1.4G AMD Athlon, with 768mb Ram, and NVIDIA GeForce2 GTS video card. Nothing I have done (scanning for viruses, ad-aware, uninstalling new software) has made any difference. Thanks. Could it have anything to do with the D-Link DSB-650TX external USB 10/100 "Fast Ethernet" ethernet adapter?

Well when I wasn't too pissed off to look at the BSOD, mine says "DRV_IRQ_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL".....so could it be a conflicting IRQ assignment?
