physical difference between cat5 network and cat5 crossovercable

i've never used crossover cable yet, but might and i'd like to know how to tell one from the other as far as their physical appearances are concerned? thx all twks2

Hold up both ends together.

If going from left to right all the colors match up, it is normal cat5.

If wires (IIRC) 2 and 6 are switched, it is a crossover cable.

Im more a slice of dung that smells like fish.

Anyway, Im not sure I got wires right. But just see if they are identical or not 😉
