Physical Address Extension ?

My system properties shows something I never saw before and do not know what it means. It says "Physical Address Extension". What does this mean?

Here is a sshot:

I searched google and only found things pertaining to 4g of ram in win2000 and such. So I don't understand. Any information is appreciated.

I did a bit more searching and came to this:

So does this mean, its due to the system being a 64 bit system?

It's on since you have SP2 and DEP enabled (DEP requires the 64bit page tables that PAE enabled), it's normal and you generally want it on unless your having a compatibility issue.
